John graduated from Brigham Young University in 1968, earning his MBA and began his career as a stock broker in Sacramento CA.  In 1972 he moved his family to Santa Barbara where he has resided for the past 42 years.  He spent many years as a managing partner of Santa Barbara Securities.  He started Santa Barbara Advisors in 2000.  He has been in the investment business for over 50 years and has gained vast experience with real estate, life insurance, securities, and financial planning.
